Angel di Maria regrets joining Manchester United last summer, according to Spanish journalist Manuel Esteban Manolete. The correspondent, who works for the publication Marca, professed to have knowledge that di Maria might not have fully bought into Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal’s idea since his transfer in the summer of 2014. Kaleb Ahles who is 2yr old shot himself dead with his father's gun which he found in the glove compartment of their family car.So sad the incident happened yesterday January 21st . The mum told Florida police that she and Kaleb's dad had been moving out of their home is Eastlake Florida and had left Kaleb inside the car briefly to pick some things when they heard a loud bang from inside the car.

N'Djamena (AFP) - Tens of thousands of people joined a march in N'Djamena on Saturday in support of Chadian troops heading to Nigeria and Cameroon to fight the Islamist group Boko Haram.Marching some five kilometres (three miles) through Chad's capital, demonstrators waved the national flag and chanted in French and Arabic: "Kick the forces of evil out of our territory."

Indonesia has executed by firing squad 38 year-old Nigerian Daniel Enemuo, four other foreigners and one local woman convicted of drugs offences.

They were executed on Sunday(Indonesia time), unleashing a diplomatic storm as Brazil and the Netherlands condemned the execution of their citizens.
The executions — the first under Indonesia’s new President Joko Widodo — were carried out by firing squad on foreigners hailing from Brazil, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Malawi and Nigeria.
Indonesia has tough anti-drugs laws and Widodo, who took office in October, has disappointed rights activists by voicing strong support for capital punishment despite his image as a reformist.

The Peoples Democratic Party has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari has been abandoned by the party leaders like former vice president Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the governor of Kano state.

In a statement issued by Olisa Metuh, National Publicity Secretary of the Poeples Democratic Party (PDP), in Abuja on Saturday he said the APC had continued to betray their inner aversion towards the candidacy of Buhari.The statement contended that the APC leadership had abandoned Buhari’s campaigns for the February 14 presidential election. The claim has been denied by the APC.

No fewer than four persons lost their lives, while over 12 others sustained serious injuries in a gas explosion that occurred on Afaha Uqua Road in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
Vanguard gathered that a staff of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, died from the explosion, while the second staff is receiving treatment at Anua Hospital in Uyo.

An eyewitness said the incident occurred at 10a.m. Monday, due to gas leakage from a cylinder, which fell from a gas shop and caught fire from the restaurant nearby.It was gathered that but for the quick intervention of the fire service, the gas leakage would have extended to nearby buildings and another gas shop about five building away.

Ating Wilson, an NDLEA officer in the Eket Area Command, said he was supposed to go with the two officers, adding that “when I went to check them, I discovered that they had already left.”He explained that he was going to eat when another colleague, Esther, ran to him and said there was a gas explosion, where Ebere Okoye and the other man were badly burnt.

He said they took both to the hospital, but that two hospitals refused to treat the other man. LOCAL NEWS:Mixed reactions welcome PDP Presidential Candidate (Jonathan) And APC Presidental Canditae Buhari Peace Pact

MIXED reactions, yesterday, greeted the peace pact signed by Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, President Goodluck Jonathan and that of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Maj-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).

While the leadership of the PDP hailed the signing of the peace accord, a retired Archbishop of Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos, Anthony Cardinal Okogie, and activist lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, said the agreements reached by presidential aspirants to prevent violence during and after the forthcoming general elections cannot hold water.

However, notable Nigerians who spoke in support of the pact included former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Professor Tam David-West; one-time Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav; constitutional lawyer, Professor Itse Sagay (SAN); Afenifere’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Yinka Odumakin and the Labour Party scribe, Mr Kayode Ajulo.

PDP urges APC to rein in members:The national leadership of the PDP in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, explained that the accord was in line with what he described as the irrevocable commitment of the party to peace and progress of the nation at all times.

EDUCATION: Do You Know That 1.4m candidates Registered for 2015 JAMB In Nigeria

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Wednesday said that no fewer than 1.4 million candidates nationwide would write the 2015 All Computer Base Test (CBT) on March 4.

Mr Fabian Benjamin, JAMB Public Relations Officer, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the board would be migrating all to computer-based mode of examination for the first time.The Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, had in the last few years, sensitised secondary schools students on the computer-base mode of test effective from 2015.NAN reports that prior to this time, candidates have been writing either of the CBT as the Paper Pencil Test (PPT) or the Dual Based Test (DBT) mode of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
