The capital of Borno State, Maiduguri has against been hit by a suicide bomb attack.
The explosion occurred at about 5:00am today, October 23, 2015, at a mosque in the Jiddari Polo area.
Details from the incident are still sketchy but emerging reports have it that not less than six people were killed in the attack.
“It was a lone male suicide bomber even though we all heard two explosions,” a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force told Leadership.
The latest attack comes exactly a week after 4 female suicide bombers detonated explosives in the Umarari Bayan Waya, Mulai Village area of Maiduguri killing 22 people.
More than 40 worshippers also died in deadly suicide bombings which occurred in mosques in the Mai Borti and Kangaleri villages of Molai in the Borno State capital on October 15
