Former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck return  to old trafford to give Arsenal football club popularly known as the gunners the secret to defeat his former and child hood club,Manchester United by scoring the winning goal as Arsenal reached the FA Cup semi-finals with a deserved 2-1 victory at Old Trafford on Monday.The England international strker Welbeck, who joined the Londoners last summer after his playing time in the jersey of Manchester united was stalled by the Manager Loiua Van gaal who is presently being criticized, pounced on a horrendous back pass by Antonio Valencia in the 61st minute to send the holders through. In a rip-roaring first half Nacho Monreal's clean decent finish put the Gunners ahead in the 24th minute and some seconds but the red devils captain  Wayne Rooney responded with a diving header evened it up four minutes later.

Former First Lady of ivory coast,Simone Gbagbo sentenced to 20 years in prison.




Can this ever happen in Nigeria?our correspondence who reside in cote Ivoire make his point known to us that the wife of the former president of this west Africa country was tried and was found guilty and Simone Gbagbo was sentence to 20-year prison term on charges of “undermining state security” because of what erupt as post-election violence in 2010-2011 that left nearly 3,000 dead. The wife of former Ivorian president Laurent Gbagbo was also accused of “disturbing public order” and “coordinating armed gangs” after her husband and his supporters rejected results of the December 2010 presidential elections showing rival Alassane Ouattara had won the contest.

Affi N’Guessan, the former head of the first couple’s political party, was sentenced to 18 months in jail for his role in the unrest, covered by the two years he has already served in detention. No one close to Ouattara has been investigated or prosecuted in connection with the violence.
