Boko Haram Terrorists Arrested By Citizens In Dikwa Say Abducted Girls Are In Sambisa

Eight Boko Haram terrorists who came out to get food and items from Goym village in Dikwa local government, Borno state were arrested by visiting Civilian Joint Task Force men who came from Gwoza. The terrorists who came in a hilux truck with some motorcycles were arrested at 4pm Friday evening.

Upon interrogation, the terrorists revealed that the 234 girls abducted from Chibok were still in Sambisa forest and that they had been divided into three groups. They describe the camps in Sambisa as very large. They said they were sent by their leader to get items including clothes for the girls.

The civilians hoped military support will be sent to Dikwa immediately as it is likely the terrorists return when they find their men were arrested. They also hope “the Americans” will act on this intelligence to rescue the abducted girls.

Dikwa local government area is one of the local governments that is a boundary of Sambisa forest, and is near Gamboru-Ngala where 300 civilians were killed recently.

Police Offer Fired Cos of Rihnan Issues

A police officer got fired when she distributed an evidence photo depicting Rihanna's injuries after she was attacked by Chris Brown.She has been fired for her actions, a judge stated on Thursday.

Rebecca Reyes who will now be addressed as former Los Angeles police officer, took a picture of an evidence photo and the image ended up on celebrity website TMZ, although she denies that she sent it to the site.

Reyes snapped the photo to show to other officers and acquaintances, court filings state.The image was few among the several shot taken by police officers investigating Chris Brown's February 2009 attack on Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty.

Superior Court Judge Luis A. Lavin issued a ruling agreeing with the decisions of a disciplinary panel and Police Chief Charlie Beck to fire Reyes in 2012. After reviewing the record, Lavin also concluded that evidence supports that Ryes "participated in the release of the photography showing Ms. Fenty's injuries to TMZ."

The judge then suggested that with the act Rebecca Reyes did she's not worth to be a police office which lead to her fired. "At a minimum, the public is entitled to protection from unprofessional employees whose conduct places people at risk of injury and the government at risk of incurring liability," Lavin's wrote in his ruling.

Reyes' attorney Ira Salzman accepted the ruling without argument during a brief hearing Thursday. He said after the hearing that he was disappointed by the ruling and reiterated that his client did not leak the image to TMZ. He disagreed with Lavin's descriptions of his client as unprofessional, saying she "made a singular mistake."

"Rebecca Reyes is an outstanding person and was an outstanding officer," Rreyes' attorney said.Meanwhile Rebecca Reyes had been an officer for 10 years before she was fired. In the hours after the Rihanna attack, Reyes was assigned to a team planning to arrest Chris Brown but was pulled off the assignment. She saw an evidence photo of Rihanna's injuries at her precinct and snapped a photo to share with others, including a former girlfriend who records show called TMZ.

The ex-girlfriend, also a Los Angeles police officer, told investigators she called the celebrity news site only to verify details of the attack that Reyes shared with her.Salzman said Rebecca Reyes' ex-girlfriend, Blanca Lopez, remains on the force and that the person who leaked the photo "has never been found and never will be."

Reyes and Lopez were in the midst of a breakup when the photo was leaked and both were investigated for their actions. Search warrants found no evidence of payments to either woman by TMZ, or conclusive proof of who gave the site the image.

Chris Brown is currently in a Los Angeles jail held without bail after he was arrested March 14 for failing to remain in rehab as ordered by a judge. The rehab stay was part of his sentence for the Rihanna attack and his guilty plea on a felony assault.

In Borno State, Nigeria’s North-East region, an attack on Mafa village in Borno left at least 30 ore more people dead, taking the death toll from three days of attacks to over 116.

The Senator representing Borno Central, Senator Ahmed Zannah, said that 29 civilians died in the raid and two policemen were killed in a bomb blast on Monday, while they were trying to remove bodies and question survivors about the initial attack.

How did you get the name Phyno?

Phyno is my high school nickname. It was gotten from the word ‘phenomenal’. This is because I always liked to stand out back then in school. My friend, Emeka, was the person that first called me phenomenal, and that was the first time I actually heard that word. He said I was phenomenal and from there we started calling him that, because he always used the word a lot. Then he started calling me phyno and that was how the name stuck to me.

The President Of Nigeria Voice Out about the recent massacre in Yobe Caused By Boko Haram In Nigeria

 

President Goodluck vowed yesterday that security forces in the country would adopt whatever means to totally end the sourge of terrorism and other gory activities of the Boko Haram sector.

The president, LEADERSHIP gathered, had on Tuesday morning shed tears when he got the news of the gruesome killings of about 43 students in Yobe State before issuing a statement in which he opened verbal fire on the insurgents.

He spoke in a live broadcast last night on national television and radio to mark the nation’s centenary celebrations, which kick off today at the International Conference Centre by 9am.

LEADERSHIP also learnt that some of the 28 heads of state and governments billed to attend the event arrived yesterday, amidst tight security in the Federal Capital Territory.

Jonathan said during the live broadcast that the centenary celebration is the best thing to happen to the country at this critical period in the history of the country.

Assuring that Boko Haram and their gory activities would be wiped out permanently, he said: “We will continue to do everything possible to permanently eradicate the scourge of terrorism and insurgency from our country.  We recognise that the root cause of militancy, terrorism and insurgency is not the strength of extremist ideas but corrupted values and ignorance.

“My dear compatriots, as we celebrate our centenary, the security situation in some of our north-eastern states sadly remains a major concern for us. Just yesterday, young students, full of hopes and dreams for a great future, were callously murdered as they slept in their college dormitories in Yobe State. I am deeply saddened by their deaths and that of other Nigerians at the hands of terrorists. Our hearts go out to their parents and relatives, colleagues and school authorities.

“That is why our counter-terrorism strategy is not just about enforcing law and order, as we have equipped our security forces to do. It also involves expanding economic opportunities, social inclusion, education and other measures that will help restore normalcy not just in the short term but permanently.

“I want to reassure Nigerians that terrorism, strife and insecurity in any part of Nigeria are abhorrent and unacceptable to us. I urge leaders throughout Nigeria to ensure that ethnicity and religion are not allowed to become political issues.”
