Primate of the Orthodox Anglican Church, Nigeria, revealed yesterday that he rejected an invitation offered by one of the leading candidates in the upcoming elections.
Bishop Christopher Umane said he rejected the invitation for prayers because
he didn't want to offend God.
Umane said both President Goodluck Jonathan and Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign teams are lacking ideas and rather have rather engaged in smear campaigns calumny against each other.
He also said the slander campaigns by both candidates has diverted the attention of Nigerians from the major issues militating against the country, which he said, include insecurity and unemployment.
